If you are like me, I can't wait to see the door-buster ads for Black Friday. Seriously... I go to Mom and Dad's house for some Thanksgiving goodness, greet the family then head to the living room to find the gigantic, ridiculously oversized newspaper (yup - we still have newsprint - who knew?). By noon, I already have my day of activities mapped out. First stop, Frys Electronics (of course), second is Office Depot for some crazy stand in line till your numb goodness, then off to the dreaded mall where all your fears come true!
Come on now folks - this is crazy!
We are in a new era, one where instant gratification has soothed the nerves of our ADD MTV generation of consumers by supplying online shopping and FREE SHIPPING for all those in the digital know. So how do you get in the know? Great question, sort of. Obviously as internet marketers we believe in the power social media and in particular we think Facebook is one of the great vehicles to deliver content to our online customer distribution channels.
There are so many takes on the Facebook Campaign for Black Friday - I thought I would showcase a few that did things right. Mind you, these are not the most sophisticated, we honestly don't even know if their analytics is up to par or their conversion rate, but we feel like they did a good job of engaging the audience and incentivising customers to spread the word.
